Chart Central View

Chart Central is a great tool for analyzing a season and comparing graphically team performances side-by-side. Either League Totals or Team Totals may be viewed and several images are provided for your review. Below is a sample of Year-To-Date Team Totals for the junior circuit pitching from a 1986 Replay. Additional examples of Variances and League Totals are also provided below. Some of the highlights are:

  • Teams sorted left-to-right by division and by place in standings.
  • Bar charts provide easy comparison of each teams’s performance in each category. Best/Worst performances stand out.
  • Stats are Year-to-Date. Any day of the season may be viewed.
  • One click options to change leagues, chart appearance (group divisions, labels and values), set number of charts across screen (1, 2, 3 or 4).
  • Move mouse over any chart to get cross-hair display of exact values.

Below is a sample of Year-To-Date Team Totals Variance Charts for the senior circuit batting from a 1986 Replay.

  • Bar charts show the variance in each team’s performance versus its real life Year-to-Date performance. It’s easy to see which teams are outperforming or underperforming versus their real life stats.
  • If you are viewing Real Life Stats, the comparison is with the League Average.
  • In the example below it’s easy to pick out Chicago (N) as having the best overall improvement in batting and Pittsburgh (N) as underperforming the most.
  • Stats are Year-to-Date. Any day of the season may be viewed.
  • The same one click view options may be used.

Below is a sample of a League Totals Day-by-Day pitching charts for the senior circuit for a 1986 Replay as of July 13.

  • The line charts compare the League Totals of the replay with the League Totals of the real life 1986 season as of July 13, 1986.
  • If you are viewing Real Life Stats, the comparison is with the YTD League Average.
  • Line Charts may be zoomed on both the Y and X-axis or exploded for a larger view. Move the mouse over the chart to get a cross-hair view of each data point for a given day..
  • Stats are Day-by-Day up to the current date you selected.
  • The same one click view options may be used.

Below is a sample of a League Totals Day-by-Day Standings charts for the East Division of the Junior circuit for a 1986 Replay as of July 13.

  • These charts present Day-by-Day stats related to standings of a specific division within a league. With one click you may view the other league or another divis986.
  • Our unique Rank (Place) in Standings charts shows each team’s place in the standings for each day of the season. The more squiggles or crossing of lines is an indication of the competitiveness of a division or league.
  • These Charts may be zoomed on both the Y and X-axis or exploded for a larger view. Move the mouse over the chart to get a cross-hair view of each data point for a given day. These are particularly useful tools when viewing data that appears to converge or havea high density of data points such as run differential.
  • Our unique Winning/Losing Streak chart is good example of a high density chart, but when you “explode” it, it becomes clear as to which teams had prolonged (4 games or more) win/loss streaks and it’s pretty easy to correlate them to a team’s rise/fall in the standings.
